The MX-Saunakaivo 300 is suitable for the absorption of washing water from a sauna supplied with transported water. The tank volume is 300 liters, and there is a pre-drilled opening at the bottom of the tank through which water is absorbed into a gravel layer installed around the tank. The inlet height from the bottom of the tank is only 42.5 cm, so installation is possible even in demanding locations. The tank has a pre-made inlet for the sewage pipe (110mm rubber ring seal). Before installation, it must be ensured that the soil can absorb water over 10L/m2/day. The soil must be silt or coarser. Clay, muck, peat, etc. will not work for absorption. There must be over 30 cm from the bottom of the trench to the groundwater or floodwater level. The absorbency can be checked, for example, by digging a pit about 50 cm in diameter, which is kept filled with water for a few hours. If the water level drops by more than 25 mm in at least 30 minutes, the soil is suitable for absorption trenches.
